Palmiet Caravan Park

The small seaside village of Kleinmond enjoys three natural features that make it an attractive and popular place to spend a holiday: the Palmiet Mountains, the Palmiet River Lagoon, and a beautiful stretch of rocky and sandy coastline.

The Palmiet Caravan Park is well-positioned to encompass all three of these features. It has direct access to the beach and lagoon and boasts a splendid backdrop with the Palmiet Mountains. The lagoon is ideal for a number of activities like swimming, canoeing and board-sailing, whilst the wide, sandy beach adjacent to it is perfect for beach games and sunbathing. The park is beautifully grassed and terraced with well established trees and shrubs to divide the stands and provide them with shade and privacy. There are 82 caravan and 54 tent sites (34 tent sites without electricity). The beautiful Palmiet River has something to offer for everyone and you can choose between swimming, white water rafting, tubing and canoeing. Please phone +27 (0)28-271 8400 (Overstrand Municipality) for reservations.

The area has a typical Mediterranean climate: cool, wet winters with dry and hot summers. The indigenous forest and fynbos are home to a wide variety of animals, birds and insects. Here, you escape to nature!
