MAPS & TOWNS OF THE HANGKLIP-KLEINMOND

In this section of the website, you will be introduced to the rich source of all natural beauty, tourist attractions and commercial prosperity of the Hangklip Coast, which includes towns like Kleinmond, Betty's Bay, Hangklip, Pringle Bay and Rooiels. The area has a typical Mediterranean climate: cool, wet winters with dry and hot summers. The thin belt between the mountains and the sea hosts many wonders: from high peaks and fynbos-covered mountain slopes, rough ravines, caves, rivers and streams tumbling over edges to pristine beaches. The indigenous forest and fynbos are home to a wide variety of animals, birds and insects.

The Overberg area is South Africa’s most southern region and includes False Bay, where the Southern Right whales mate and calve annually. The scenic coastal areas have also attracted well established artists, and although most artists operate on an open house policy, it is advisable to arrange appointments through the local tourism bureau to visit their studios.
